Five phases

Three of Sun's widget faces draw on the Chinese five-phase (wǔ xíng) and organ-clock (子午流注) traditions. This page is where the whole system lives, including the sheng/ke cycle — the generating-and-controlling relationship between the five phases, deliberately left out of the app itself. Every other borrowed diagram in Sun maps onto a solar quantity it can measure; the cycle below is a relationship diagram with no time axis, so it has nowhere solar to attach in a widget. Here, it doesn't need one.
