Privacy
What Sun does with your information
Short version: Sun computes sunrise, sunset, and everything in between on your phone. Nothing is collected, stored on a server, or shared — because there is no server.
Location
If you grant permission, Sun uses your device's location to work out exactly when the sun rises and sets where you are. That location is used only on your device, for that calculation, and is never transmitted anywhere. You can decline location access entirely and set a place by hand instead — every feature works exactly the same way.
What's not collected
No account. No analytics. No advertising identifiers. No crash reporting that leaves the device. No data of any kind is sent to us, to Apple beyond what iOS itself requires to run the app, or to any third party.
Purchases
Sun+ is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details — Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date below will change with it. Given how little the app actually does with data, we don't expect that to happen often.
